Irene A. Hiscocks, 81, of Garner, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Concord Care Center in Garner.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Fr. Dennis Miller officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Cataldo Funeral Home, Garner, was in charge of arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Boniface Catholic Church and may be sent in care of the family of Irene Hiscocks, 2340 210th St., Garner, Iowa,  50438.

Norman J. “Bill” Ballantyne, 91, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, with his family by his side at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating.  Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.  Family will greet friends one hour before the service.  The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 Dorothy Ann Wenzel, 83, 126 N. 14th St., Clear Lake, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.
 A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26 at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with Rev. Kirk Wilke officiating. Graveside services were held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Maplewood Cemetery, Luverne, Minn., with Rev. Mark Mumme, of Zion Lutheran Church, Hardwick, Minn. officiating.

 Irvin Dale “Irv” Van Haaften went to dwell in the House of the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Muse-Norris Hospice House in Mason City, surrounded by his family. A gathering of friends was held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, on June 26, 2014. The celebration of his life followed on Saturday morning at the church.  Elwin David “Bud” Ebaugh, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Heritage Care & Rehabilitation Center in Mason City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour before the service.

Eleanor L. Hepperly, 98, Clear Lake, died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.  

Funeral services for Eleanor were held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Ventura United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Reverend Rhoda Preston officiating.  Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Elizabeth A. “Beth” Jensen, 93, of Clear Lake, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A funeral service for Beth will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 12 N. 4th Street, Clear Lake, with the Reverend Dean Hess presiding.  Burial will follow in the Clear Lake Cemetery.  The family will greet friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the church on Thursday.

Thomas Bernard Hartigan, age 89, of Clear Lake, formerly of Fort Dodge, Iowa, died March 2, 2014 in Mason City.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Fort Dodge on Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Iowa Army National Guard. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge as well as one hour before Mass on Saturday.
