    James L. Bird, age 71, of Mason City, Iowa passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.   Jim requested there be no funeral and was cremated.  There will be a family and friends gathering Friday, Dec. 23, from 4-7 p.m. at the home of Mick Baker, 1433 Birch Drive, Mason City.

Shelley Beth Knutson, 58, 2174 243rd St., Ventura Heights, Iowa, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.  

     A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 120 1st St. NE, Mason City, with the Reverend Wendy K.  Abrahamson officiating. Visitation with her family

Lonnie L. Bosch, 56, of Rockwell, Iowa, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Rockwell, with the Rev. Marvin O. Brager, 89, of Ventura, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at the Concord Care Center in Garner, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26, at St. John’s Lutheran Church east of Garner with Pastor Carl Hedberg officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Cataldo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jerome W. Frampton, 80, of Woodbury, Minn., and formerly of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at the Hometown Senior Living in Woodbury.  

A funeral service for Jerome was held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at the Clear Lake Evangelical Free 

Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Dan Jordan and Pastor Terry Baxter officiating.  Burial followed in the Clear Lake Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Clear Lake VFW Post 4868.

Evelyn  “Sue” Poole, 68, 409 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, Iowa, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.  

     A funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 24, at the Evangelical Free Church, Hwy. 18 W., Clear Lake, with Rev. Dan Jordan officiating.  Interment was at the Clear Lake Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Relay for Life or Hospice of North Iowa.

Gerald D. Toppin of Lorimor, Iowa, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at Southern Hills Specialty Care of Osceola, Iowa. He was 71 years old. 

A memorial gathering was held at the Lorimor Community Building on Saturday, Aug. 25.  Burial will be in the Barney Cemetery at a later date.     Mary Darlene Norris, of Fort Collins, Colo., 87, died July 14, 2012.  Services will be held in Colorado at a later time.
    Mary was born in Des Moines, Iowa, where she lived for most of her life.  She also maintained a home in Clear Lake, Iowa and lived for briefer periods in Omaha, Neb., Green Valley, Az., and Kilmarnock, VA.

    Christopher “Chris” Carl Crotty, 52, of 210 W. 10th Ave. N., Clear Lake, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.
    Due to his wishes he was cremated and graveside services were held Monday, June 11, at the Clear Lake Cemetery.
