	 “We should be very competitive this season,” said the
coach.
	 Returning letter winners include senior midfielders Jarod
Anderson and Zeke Branstad; senior forward Tanner Berger;
senior defenders Ryan Faught, Parker Pitzen, Justin Sholly and
Zach Welper; and sophomore midfielder Sam Pedelty.
	 Other athletes who will contribute to the Lions’ success
are senior defender Spencer Orr, senior midfielder Jonah Pe-
delty; junior midfielders Josiah Bartlett and Dylan Clapper;
and sophomore midfielder Dylan Schuchard.
	 “We have several new players who have joined our team
and many sophomores and juniors who will be competing for
varsity uniforms,” added Coach Anderson.
	 Anderson said his team will need to be ready when they
face some tough competition within the state, including Wa-
verly-Shell Rock, Webster City and Columbus Catholic- Wa-
terloo.
	 Assistant coaches for the boys soccer program are Nick
DiMarco and Tim Fyfe.
	 In preparation for the season the soccer team will be go-
ing door-to-door on Sunday, April 10, collecting redemption
cans and bottles to raise money for game day meals.
