It wasn’t until 2007 that Alan again performed at the Surf. On Feb. 3, 2007, he did
his very first tribute to Eddie Cochran in the Surf lounge. Appearing with him on the
lounge stage was Donnie Briggs on guitar, Alan Wellman on bass guitar and Alan Page
on drums. Alan returned the very next year and appeared in the lounge on February 1,
2008 with Alan Wellman, Alan Page and two new members Graham Pugh on guitar and
his wife Ira Pugh on back-up vocals.
The following year Alan appeared in the Surf Lounge with his group, the Classics
and they backed local musician Richie Lee. The next day Alan did his own show and he
performed with Graham Pugh on guitar, Pat Woertink on bass guitar and Dave Cimino
AdmFRisEsEion on drums. Sherry Holley was scheduled to perform in the lounge, but because of bad
Rave On Xll Exhibit weather, she could not make it. So, Alan and his group performed in the lounge for the
Poodle Skirt workshop third day in a row.
