David L. Hansen

David Lynn Hansen, 65, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Osage Rehab & Healthcare Center, Osage, Iowa.

A funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 6, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with Mark Doebel leading the service.  Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.  Burial took place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

David Lynn Hansen was born May 3, 1958, the son of Dale and Valrie (Hartong) Hansen.  David graduated from Clear Lake High School in the class of 1977.  After graduation, David attended Marine Mechanic school; he worked locally on boats in the Clear Lake area.

David enjoyed model cars, racing slot cars and roller-skating, he volunteered at Roller City in Mason City for many years.  

David is survived by his two brothers, Russell Hansen and Harold (Dianne) Hansen, all of Corning, Iowa; nephews, Anthony (Amanda) Donahoo and Christopher (Emily) Donahoo.  

David is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Valrie Hansen.

Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
