Chyann R. Banta
Chyann Rynae Banta, age 15, of Forest City, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 west of Forest City as a result of injuries received in an auto accident.
Funeral services for Chyann Banta were held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at the Garner Hayfield High School Auditorium with Pastor Rod Hopp officiating . Burial was in the Madison Township Cemetery south of Forest City.
Chyann Rynae, the daughter of Tom and Teya Zwierzycki Banta, was born May 15, 1998 in Minneapolis, Minn. Chyann grew up in Garner and spent much valued time in Forest City. She was currently a freshman at the Garner Hayfield High School. Bright eyed and gregarious, Chyann was a fun-loving typical, American girl. She participated in volleyball and chorus. Chyann loved the Food Network. She cooked and baked often for her family and friends. The love and life she shared with her family, friends and especially, her sister, Tiffany, is a holy eternal bond.
Chyann is survived by her mother, Teya (Jason), of Forest City; father, Tom (April), of Garner; grandparents, Linda Gannon, of Forest City, Joe (Barb) Zwierzycki, of Olive Hill, Ky., Sandy (Dennis) Vestwebber, of Leland, Iowa, Lou (Fran) Banta of Belmond, Iowa; great-grandparents, Norma Jean Hoover, of Wyoming, Wilhelmine Vestwebber, of Belmond; and numerous other loving aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Dugger Funeral Homes, Belmond, was in charge of arrangements.
