Clear Lake cops and kids team up for Christmas shopping
Eleven Clear Lake youngsters had the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping for themselves and others as part of a new local program. Clear Lake
Police Officer Eric Hythecker, who leads the Clear Lake Police Benevolence Association, said local officers were thrilled to be able to help some of the community’s youngsters. Benevolence fundraisers allowed each child to pick out something they need, something they would like, and something for someone else at Larson’s Mercantile in downtown Clear Lake. The new program was done in partnership with Clear Lake Schools, assisted by Student/Family Services Coordinator Sally Duesenberg, and Larson’s.
