GHV to hold “Pink Out” night

The football game scheduled in Garner on Friday, Oct. 24 (GHV vs. Clear Lake) has been designated as the 2014 Football Coaches vs. Cancer Pink Out Night.

To support the GHV Cardinals for a Cure Pink Out, the following fundraising items will be available for sale: GHV Cardinals for a Cure bottoms, $3 each; and GHV Cardinals for a Cure pink silicone bracelet, $2 each.  All proceeds from the sale of these items will benefit the American Cancer Society.  The items will be available for sale at the school offices, in both Garner and Ventura, at Clear Lake Bank and Trust Company, and at the football game. Other fundraising events include the sale of decorated sugar cookies and a “46-second Drill” that will be held during halftime of the game.  During this event, 46 seconds will be placed on the clock, and volunteers will race throughout the stands with buckets to collect money.  Funds raised on the Clear Lake side will benefit the Cerro Gordo County Relay For Life and funds collected on the GHV side will benefit the Hancock County Relay for Life.

All fans are also encouraged to wear pink to the game to show support.
