Dale Boss

Dale N. Boss, 53, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.  A Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Denny Ganz officiating.  Inurnment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, where military honors were provided by the Clear Lake V.F.W.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Dale’s name in care of Christina Olesen, 1208 E. Main Ave., Apt. 2, Clear Lake, Iowa, 50428.

Dale Nehl Boss was born on Aug. 21, 1960 in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of Donald and Florence (Nehl) Boss.  He attended and graduated from Mason City High School.

Following high school Dale enlisted in the United States Army where he faithfully served his country from 1983 until 1991.  He obtained the rank of Sergeant.

For the past 16 years Dale was employed at Graham Manufacturing in Mason City.  He was a devoted member of the V.F.W. Post No. 4868, of Clear Lake, where he served as the former Commander.  In his free time he enjoyed golfing and had two “Holes In One” in his golfing career.  He also was a member of the 3 O’clock Club.  He was a devoted Iowa Hawkeye and Oakland Raider fan and enjoyed spending time with all of his friends.

Those grateful in sharing in his life are his four children, Nicole Boss, Rachel Church, Scott Church, and Ashley Robbins; his parents, Don and Florence Boss; his two brothers, Mike Boss and Jim Boss; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Keely.

Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
