We love a parade!
Clear Lake and Garner-Hayfield/Ventura High Schools bands, along with the Clear Lake Middle School band competed in the North Iowa Band Festival parade Saturday. Joe Schiller and Shelby Dickes were chosen as the CLHS king and
queen candidates. They rode in front of the band and surprised the large crowd when Schiller opened his shirt to display the Superman emblem as his band played the movie theme song.
GHV’s king and queen were Luke Josten and Maddie Tusha. Tusha missed the parade to compete in the State Track Meet.
The Clear Lake Middle School Band, under the direction of Tammy Aberson-Hanson, brought home first place in the middle school competition.
