Mason City jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but it was all Clear Lake after that as the Lions went on to an 8-1 victory Tuesday, April 15.
“Once Mason City took an early lead it seemed to wake my team up,” said Coach Matt Anderson.
Antonio DiMarco scored Clear Lake’s first and second goals. Ernie Miszewski added a goal before half time for a 3-1 lead.
The second half went quickly with the boys making better decisions with their passes and attacks, said the coach. DiMarco led the scoring coming out of the half time break to get his third goal of the night. Miszewski answered with his second goal of night and Jack Abbas got on the board with a goal shortly after. Miszewski closed out the scoring with two additional goals giving him a total of four goals on the night.
Jack Finn, Abbas, and Miszewski each tallied an assist during the contest.
