Zenovia M. Kelly
Zenovia M. Kelly, age 89, of New Hampton, Iowa, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton.

Zenovia Marie Kelly was born Aug. 9, 1924 in Fredericksburg, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd E. and Hulda M. (Krueger) Babcock. She received her education in New Hampton. On Jan. 24, 1941, at the Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage, she married Joseph Kelly of Lawler. To this union one daughter, Sandra, was born. Following Joe’s time in the service, the couple purchased a DX Oil Station in New Hampton, known as Kelly’s DX, which they ran for 24 years. They then purchased a garage repair shop on Main Street in New Hampton, Kelly’s Service and Repair, which they owned and operated until Joe’s death in 1984. While Zenovia worked in the shop she also drove a 60 capacity school bus for 37 years, retiring in 2003. She became a resident of the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on July 18, 2009.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra (Darrell) Crooks of Ionia, Iowa; two grandchildren, Kendra (Doug) Walker, of Clear Lake, and Dennis (Kendra) Crooks, of New Hampton; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe, in 1984; and a grandson, Durrell Crooks, in 2011.
Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home, New Hampton, was in charge of arrangements.
