The Clear Lake girls basketball team experienced the thrill of a State Basketball Tournament Tuesday, taking on Unity Christian in the quarterfinal round.  

The Lions started strong, but could not overcome a significant second half deficit and fell, 60-35.

The Lions became only the second Clear Lake girls team to reach State after a stellar regular season which included becoming co-champions of the North Central Conference.  

Head Coach Bart Smith said before the game he was extremely proud of this team’s work ethic, dedication and progression during the year. He said they began the season dedicated to making it a memorable one-- and they certainly achieved that!
