GHV boys bounce back with win

After a tough loss to Osage on Tuesday night, the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura boys were ready to play when they hosted Central Springs (2-4) on Friday night, Dec. 20.

“I thought the boys got off to a great start and appeared to have the game in control after the first quarter,” said Coach Joe Albertson.

The Cardinals were firing on all cylinders in the first quarter.  Joel Toppin and Spencer Shaw got the team going, knocking down shots and getting to the foul line.  GHV rolled to a solid 24-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Central Springs turned it into a game in the second quarter.  The Panthers knocked down four three-point shots in a row to get themselves back into the game.  The Cardinals took control back - Read More Via e-Edition
