Vangaard Squadron will fly over festival
This year’s Christmas By the Lake Lighted Parade Dec. 7 will be preceded by a fly-over conducted by the ethanol-powered Vanguard Squadron. The Vanguard Squadron has been powered by ethanol since it started in 1993. The team has over 3,000 flight hours using 100 percent ethanol.
Christmas By The Lake Chairman Gene Madson said the fly-over will tie in nicely to the fact that this year’s parade occurs on the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
