Lawrence M. Bowlin

Lawrence Marvin Bowlin of Lebanon, Mo., formerly of Clear Lake, was born Sept. 9, 1935 in Mason City, to Marvin Reeves Bowlin and Myrtle Mae Grell Bowlin.  He passed away peacefully in his sleep in Lebanon with his son, Larry, at his side.

It was his last wish to be cremated and then have his ashes spread with his mom and dad in Clear Lake at the Clear Lake Cemetery.  On May 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. there will be a memorial remembrance for Lawrence to give loved ones that knew him time to come home as well.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, family and friends plant something in their yards.  Lawrence grew very fond of planting things in his later years.  Please plant something and enjoy its beauty and let it bring back a memory of Lawrence as it grows.

In life, Lawrence had many friends and almost as many jobs.  He always said he was a “jack of all trades and a master of none”.  He enjoyed life and was never too far from his family.

Lawrence is survived by his children, William Robert Bowlin of Butler, Mo., Lorrie Marlene Hopper of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Larry Dean Bowlin of Lebanon, Mo.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Ann Rogers Bowlin.

Services are under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Homes, Osceola, Mo.
