John I. Moor

John “Jack” Irvin Moor, 74, of Clear Lake, Iowa died on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at his home.  Online condolences may be left at www.fullertonfh.com. 

A funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at Fullerton Funeral Home, Mason City.  Rev. Bernie Colorado was 

the officiant from the United Methodist Church in Clear Lake.  Interment followed at the Rockwell Cemetery in Rockwell, Iowa.  

John “Jack” Moor was born on March 9, 1939 in Mason City to James and Margret Moor.  He resided in the surrounding are his entire life and attended school through the ninth grade.  On July 21, 1962 he was united in marriage to Audrey Lee Johnson at the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church.  To this union three children were born, JoDEE, Sara, and Robert Moor.  John worked for 37 and a half years at the Clear Lake Bakery, where most customers knew him as “Jack.”  He loved working at the bakery.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching John Wayne movies, and listening to country western or polka music.  John enjoyed yard work and helping out the neighbors.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge for 25 years and the American Legion for 10 years.  John was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Clear Lake.  He had a soft heart for his Chihuahua puppies.  John will be dearly missed by all those who love and knew him. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 51 years, Audrey; children, JoDEE Moor of Clear Lake, Sara Moor of Clear Lake, and Robert Moor of Daejeon, Korea; sister, Linda Frazier of Meservey, Iowa; brothers, Paul Moor of Hampton, Iowa, Mike True of Mason City, and Gary Flinchum of Pryor, Okla.; five grandchildren; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald and James Moor in infancy; and sisters, Donna Sticha and Shelia Harding. 

Arrangements were made by Fullerton Funeral Home, Mason City.
