Water tower site ideas welcomed at upcoming planning workshops

The Main Street water tower is down, but now what?

On July 2 and 3, the City of Clear Lake and RDG Design will launch an on-site strategic planning process designed to gain input and opinions from the community’s residents and visitors.  The goal is to better understand priorities and concepts regarding future streetscape improvements to North Lakeview Drive

(Main Avenue to 1st Avenue North) and potential future re-use of the former Main Avenue water tower site.

The interactive open house will be held Tuesday, July 2, from 4-6 p.m. and Wednesday, July 3, from 9-11 a.m. at the Lakeview Community Room at the City Park Bandshell.    Come at any point during the open hours.

A public presentation of the RDG design teams’ initial designs will be held Wednesday, July 3, at 3 p.m. in the Lakeview Community Room.  There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer session.

Those unable to make either of the events, but who still want to participate, should visit www.rdgusa.com/crp/clearlakewaterfront to take a short online survey.
