Clear Lake girls soccer team tops Webster City, 3-0
Logan Anderson scored two goals and Ivy Hogg added another in Clear Lake’s 3-0 victory over Webster City Tuesday, April 23.
“Webster City played a heavy defense with eight to nine in defense of their net,” said Clear Lake Coach Lothar Meyer. “They only allowed 18 shots in front of the goal.”
Clear Lake goal keeper Riley Brinkman defended one shot in goal and Ellie Biebesheimer had 12 minutes in goal for the Lion defense.
Coach Meyer noted that Madison Faber and Emily Willms controlled the center field play most of the night and forwards Megan Kopriva and Hannah Barlett were able to get shots at goal for the Lions. Madi Wendel also had two shots in front of goal.
The undefeated Lions were at Aplington-Parkersburg Tuesday evening and are on the road again Thursday to Humboldt.
