School leader is finalist for Nebraska post
Superintendent of Schools Anita Micich has informed the Clear Lake School Board that she is one of six candidates interviewing for a superintendent’s position in Nebraska.
Micich was named superintendent for the Mason City School District in 2008 and was hired by the Clear Lake School Board in 2010 in a sharing agreement with Mason City.
Micich told Board members she was not seeking a new job, but was asked to consider the position in the Papillion-LaVista School District. After discussing the opening with her husband, she decided to apply. She was reportedly one of six candidates selected from a pool of about 57 applicants and was scheduled to be interviewed early this week.
The Papillion-LaVista School District is located south of Omaha and has approximately 10,000 students.
