No name yet for Rec Area

Clear Lake Parks and Recreation Department Board members are mulling over about six potential names for its recreation area located on 12th Avenue South.

P&R Department Director Randy Miller said Board members discussed names suggested by the public for the area, but 

reached no decision at their March 27 meeting.  The group decided to think about the ideas and will vote at their next meeting, slated for April 24.

“They are considering using one of the names, or possibly a combination of the ideas,” said Miller.  

In other P&R news, the Board will be reviewing bids for repair work needed on the Main Avenue boat ramp.  The low water level and ice combined to cause a heave in the concrete pad at the end of the ramp.  The work will be completed as soon as possible this spring, according to Miller.
