Calaguas to perform in Albert Lea Figure Skating show

 

Alexa Calaguas, a senior at Clear Lake High School, will perform a solo at the Albert Lea Figure Skating Club’s 52nd annual show March 23-24. The show, “Planes, Trains and Blades,” will take place at the Albert Lea City Arena.

 Calaguas, daughter of Edsar and Randy Calaguas of Clear Lake, will also skate in the opening number, with an artistic group and in the girl-boy number. Coached by Suzanne Olson, Calaguas has been figure skating for four years, three of them with the Albert Lea club. 

In addition to skating, she enjoys tumbling, yoga and pilates, and participates in Mock Trial, Model United Nations, and Student Council.

  The show on Saturday, March 23, will be at 7 p.m. and the show on Sunday, March 24, will be at 2 p.m. Tickets are available from members and at the door.  Each ticket costs $8 per adult in advance, $9 at the door, $6 per student in advance, $7 at the door, with children age five and younger admitted at no charge.
