Beaulah Andersen

Beaulah Elaine Andersen, 85, of Mattoon, Ill., formerly of Clear Lake, Iowa, died at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Mattoon Health Care.

Funeral service honoring her life will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at Ward Van Slyke Funeral Home, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, Iowa with Rev. Dean Hess of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday, Dec.14, 2012, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa.

Beaulah was born on July 17, 1927, in Motley, Minn., the daughter of Floyd and Mildred (Parks) DeMaris. She married Walter Andersen on Nov. 30, 1946.

Survivors include her son, Michael Andersen and wife, Helen, of Sullivan, Ill.; grandchildren, Jason Andersen and wife, Kindra, of Manlius, N.Y.; Blake Andersen and wife, Jamie, of Mattoon.; John Shriver and wife, Kris, of Glasford, Ill..; Matt Shriver and wife, Kelli, of Mattoon.; Mark Shriver of Windsor, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Gabbrielle Andersen and Gennavieve Andersen both of Manlius, N.Y.; Hannah Andersen, Zachary Andersen,  Hailey Andersen, and Andrew Andersen all of Mattoon, Mason Shriver and Ellory Shriver both of Glasford, Belle Shriver and Coen Shriver both of Mattoon, Alyssa Shriver and Ava Shriver both of Sullivan; two brothers, Marvin DeMaris and wife, Karen; Norman DeMaris and wife, Donna; four sisters, Jeanette Hopes, Betty Brooks, Rosemary Dickinson, Eileen Hornaman and husband, Ronald. 

Beaulah was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers.    

Beaulah was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church located in Mattoon and the Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, Iowa. 

The most important thing to Beaulah in her life was her family.   

Memorial donations in her honor are suggested to the Salvation Army or Lincolnland Hospice in Mattoon.

Schilling Funeral Home, Ltd., Mattoon, was in charge of arrangements.  

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
