State honors for CLHS Dance Team

 

CLHS Dance Team members participated in the Iowa State Dance Team Competition held on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 29 and 30.  The Iowa state competition is officially the nation’s largest state competition, with over 520 routines performed in two days.  Clear Lake 

competed in three categories.  They placed third in Class 3 Jazz; third in Class 10 Pom; and second in Class 5 Hip Hop.  Competing team members were senior Kimi Green; juniors Alexis Atkinson and Maddie Hess; sophomores Tori Culliton, Leah Becker, Maddie Hartnett, Lauren Hewitt, and Peyton Huey and freshman Marissa Olk.  The team, as a whole, was recognized for outstanding academic achievement.
