Large item pick-up map inside

 

The City of Clear Lake has announced that its Fall Large Item Pick-Up event will take place Monday, Oct. 15, through Thursday, Oct. 18.  Residents are encouraged to use this opportunity to dispose of items that cannot be discarded through their weekly garbage service. 

The Large Item Pick-Up map  appears in this edition of the  Mirror-Reporter on page 6.   The map details the dates the City will pick up items in each area of the city, as well as rules for the event.

City residents can have old appliances and/or electronic items picked up during the City-Wide Cleanup for a cost of $15 per items.  Stickers are non-refundable and must be purchased by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.  Items that require a sticker are: furnaces, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, stoves, washers, dryers, microwaves, copy machines, water heaters, fluorescent lights and fixtures, televisions, computer monitors and printers.  

Pick-up of appliances in all areas of the city will be on Thursday, Oct. 18.  Appliances with stickers attached must be at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18.
