Winds whip up a mess
Fifty to 70 mile per hour winds tore through North Central Iowa and South Central Minnesota overnight Wednesday, causing several power lines and trees to be downed, as well as boats to be tossed and docks damaged on Clear Lake. This photo was
taken on North Lakeview Drive, immediately north of the Lady of the Lake. Approximately 1,600 customers of Alliant Energy in Cerro Gordo County were without power Wednesday morning and on the north shore of Clear Lake some residents were without power for more than 12 hours. There were no reports of any injuries sustained due to the storm.-Reporter photo by Chris Barragy.
