Road work progressing at Ventura
Travel to and within the City of Ventura is about to get a little easier.
After a long spring and summer filled with major street reconstruction projects, accessibility within the community seems to be on the upswing. City leaders have announced that the
entrance to the community from Highway 18 will be opened Friday. The stretch of North Main from Highway 18 to the four-way stop at Lake Street will be open by 10 a.m.
“Things are starting to look up and we are beginning to come out of the four most difficult weeks,” said Ventura City Clerk Elsa Taylor. “On the whole, people have been incredibly patient.”
Wick’s Construction, from Decorah, is the general contractor for the more than $3 million project.
