Girls compete at Cardinal and Comet Relays

Garner Meet   

The Clear Lake girls track team traveled to Garner on Tuesday night, April 17, to compete in the Cardinal Relays.  Clear Lake finished sixth in the eight team Class A bracket.  Lake Mills claimed the Class A championship with 120 points.  Clear Lake scored 55 points.
    Clear Lake picked up a pair of second place finishes.  Trudy Peterson was second in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:36.43.  Also placing second was Peyton Huey in

the long jump with a leap of 14’02.50”.

    The team had two relays pick up third place finishes.  The 4x400 M relay team of Jaci Ullrich, Caitlin Harle, Aspen Curtis and Trudy Peterson  ran the race in 4:36.67.  Also placing third was the Distance Medley Relay of Huey, Caitlin Harle, Brittany Bieber and Peterson.  They ran the race in 4:39.08

    •400 M Dash: Jaci Ullrich, 4th, 1:08.97
    •1500 M Run: Steph Faught, 5th, 5:45.25
    •3000 M Run:  Faught, 4th, 12:07.78
    •Discus:  Jamie Verhalen, 6th, 79’09”
    •High Jump:  Sidney Borrill, 4th, 4’08”; Brya Walton, 5th, 4’06”
    •Shot Put:  Alissa VanHorn, 6th, 30’01”
    •4x200 M Relay:  Kirsten Reineke, Faught, Brya Walton, Brianna Haugen, 5th, 2:05.21
    •Shuttle Hurdle Relay:  Erin Borgman, Mindy Allenstein, Ali Petersburg, Curtis, 4th, 1:22.25
    •Sprint Medley:  Huey, Curtis, Harle, Borrill, 6th, 2:08.76
