Adams earns First Team NCC recognition; breaks school records
Clear Lake’s Ozzie Adams has been named as a unanimous First Team All-North Central Conference selection.
The 5’8” senior guard was one of four players unanimously given the post-season honor. The other picks were Jonny Davis and Andrew May, of Webster City, and Nick Clark of St. Edmond.
Adams also was honored as a member of the Class 3A, District 3 All-Region/Sub-State Team.
Adams helped to lead the Lions to a 10-8 record in the NCC, good for fifth place. Webster City won the league this year with a perfect 18-0 conference mark. Iowa-Falls-Alden was runner-up with a 16-2 record and St. Ed’s, which finished as runner-up in the Class 2A State Tournament over the weekend, was third in the NCC at 13-5.
Adams’ effort in this senior season helped him to set four individual records for CLHS. The 107 three-point goals he sunk during his high school career was one more than the previous record held by Mike Oimoen. He also eclipsed the season and career steals marks in the CLHS record book. His 79 steals this season bested the mark of 71 made by Miles Matheson. And his career total of 182 was 33 better than Brian McIntire’s 149. Adams’ 318 career- Read More Via e-Edition
