Monson and Anderson earn NCC honors

    Clear Lake senior Meg Monson has received First Team All-North Central Conference and was one of 10 players named to the Class 3A North All-District team.  The North District includes 12 Class 3A teams.

     Monson has also been selected to participate in the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Senior All-Star game.  It will be played at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids on March 31.
    “Meg was a great leader and competitor for us,”said Clear Lake Head Coach Bart Smith.  “Meg hated to lose and I felt she elevated everybody’s level of play by her competitiveness.  Being the only senior out shows a lot of character on her part.  She guided this young team this year very well and I hope she has made a positive influence on the younger girls that can be carried into next year.  She will be greatly missed.”
    Monson was the leading scorer for the Lions, averaging 12.7 points per game.
