Clear Lake men will receive lifesaving award
A pair of Clear Lake men are among 26 individuals who will be recognized with Governor’s Lifesaving Awards during a ceremony at the Iowa State Fair later this week. Shane Monson and Michael Moorehead will be honored with a lifesaving award, given to those who have saved the lives of others without apparent risk to their own life.
According to a press release about the presentation, on Nov. 10, 2008, Joshua Featherstone was traveling in a fertilizer sprayer when he lost control and it rolled over, ejecting him from the vehicle and pinning him facedown under the rear tire of the machine.
