After opening with a 25-17 win on the first set, the Lions were inconsistent in the remainder of the match and fell, 1-3, to Clarion-Goldfield Thursday, Sept 25.  The Cowgirls rolled with three straights wins, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20, to claim the match.

Carly Ouverson diligently set up the Lion offense, with 32 assists and six digs.  She was 10/12 at the service line with three aces.  Megan Kopriva was also effective in the back row, making seven digs.  The senior also went 13/14 serving.

At the net, Kaitlyn Pitzen led the team with 14 kills.  She also had five digs and was 8/11 serving.  Bailey Kibsgaard had six kills, followed by Taylor Julsen with seven kills, three blocks and five digs.  She was 10/11 serving.

Jenna Peterson had nine digs, seven kills and was 14/16 serving with four aces. Brianna Haugen had four kills and was 9/12 serving with one - Read More Via e-Edition
