Virginia Bless

Virginia (Ginni) K. Bless passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Okla. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. Lunch will follow at Central Garden, Nature Education Pavilion in Clear Lake. 

Ginni was born on August 19, 1940, in Mason City to Robert and Iola (Barber) Cash from Clear Lake. She married Jack Bless on December 27, 1959. They had three children and moved to Forest City, where they lived by Pilot Knob State Park for many years. Ginni worked at Winnebago and later at Krieger’s Greenhouse. In 1995, they moved to Oklahoma City. Ginni loved collecting and decorating with antiques, flower gardening and arranging, and spending time with her granddaughters.

While Ginni is now with Jack and their son, Brian, her memory will always be treasured by her two children, David (Kiyon and stepson, Jeffrey) Bless and Miki (Rick) Backes; three grandchildren, Brianna (Che) Backes, Elly Backes, and Emmi Backes; two brothers, Mike (Nancy) Cash and Walt Cash; and three nephews, Todd (late Jennifer), Rob (Jamie), and Ryan (Shana) Cash. The family suggests memorials to the Ginni Bless Memorial Fund.
