Ventura reports frozen water lines
The City of Ventura has joined the ranks of communities experiencing frozen water lines due to deep frost this winter season.
City officials are encouraging residents to leave a pencil-size stream of water running nearest the meter location at
the home to prevent any freezing in the line. About 10 properties have been affected, according to City Clerk Else Taylor.
Last week, a handful of problems were reported in Clear Lake, and city officials also urged residents to be aware of the potential for freezing at homes where water use is low, or where water is currently not being used.
