Ventura golf teams opens season

    The Ventura boys and girls golf teams have kicked off the 2012 season off. 
    “Our boys and girls have both improved a great deal,” said Coach Joe Obermann.  “For our boys, Jacob Heinemann and Ryan Grunwald have been playing well scores in the upper 30’s to low 40’s. For the girls, Whitney Watson and Madee Hejna have been golfing well.  Whitney and Ryan both received the championship medals at the

Rockford Meet
    Ventura traveled to Rockford on Thursday, April 5, to open the season. 
    The boys team placed third with 190 points, behind Rockford with 160 and Clarksville with 173.
    Jacob Heinemann was runner-up medalist in the meet with a score of 39.  Rounding out the team score was Josh Theobald, 46; Ryan Grunwald, 52; and Drew Vaage, 53.
    The girls were also third with a score of 251.  Rockford won the meet with 210 points, followed by Clarksville with 234.
