Vehicle, foot chase result in arrest

 

A pair of Mason City residents were arrested after a short vehicle and foot pursuit in Clear Lake Tuesday, Jan. 1.

According to a report from the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, an incident started at the intersection of Interstate 35 and  4th Avenue South in Clear Lake just before midnight.  It started when a deputy attempted to stop Michael Bush, 34, for driving while under suspension.  They attempted to pull 

the vehicle over on I-35 near 4th Avenue South in Clear Lake.  The driver did not stop, and led deputies on a brief, high-speed vehicle pursuit and foot chase, which ended in the 2400 block of South Shore Drive. 

Bush was arrested on charges including eluding law enforcement, speeding, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of prescriptions drugs and interference with official acts. He also is facing charges of failure to appear in court and probation revocation. 

Also arrested was 22-year-old Sara Ramon, who was wanted on a warrant for burglary. 

Bush continues to be held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
