Upmeyer re-elected as Iowa House Majority Leader
Rep. Linda Upmeyer (R-Clear Lake) has been re-elected as Majority Leader in the Iowa House.
Upmeyer will be serving her seventh term in the House and has previously served as the House Minority Whip for two years and the Majority Leader for
four years. She was the first female elected as the Majority Leader in the Iowa House.
“I’m honored to have once again been elected as the House Majority Leader. It is a privilege to serve the people of House district 54, and all Iowans in this unique capacity,” said Upmeyer. “I look forward to the upcoming session. I will once again look for opportunities to make Iowa a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Upmeyer and her husband, Doug, have five children and five grandchildren.
The Legislature convenes on Jan. 12, 2015.
