Unsworth will not seek re-election

Terry Unsworth, past Clear Lake City Councilman representing Ward Two and currently one of two At Large members, has announced his intent to not seek re-election.

“I wanted to make this announcement now prior to the initial date for the filing of nomination papers which begins next 

Monday, Aug. 26, in order to encourage as many as possible to consider running for the At Large position,” said Unsworth.

“Serving on the City of Clear Lake’s Council can be an incredibly rewarding experience,” continued Unsworth.  “To be sure there are challenges, but the position provides an enormous opportunity to serve and to do so in ways that, in some cases, will provide benefits for our citizens that will last for decades.”
