Tis the season for giving and for coloring
The Mirror-Reporter’s holiday traditions are back for another year.
If you’re reading this, then that means that the Giving Tree is up right now in the Mirror-Reporter office. Right in our front window, you might even see it when you walk by. And as we zero in on Thanksgiving next week, count your blessings and then pass one on to someone who needs it.
Stop in to our office at 12 N 4th St. and pick an ornament off of the tree. You can then shop for the person or persons on the card. The age of a child, as well as their clothing sizes appear on the ornaments.
Gifts need to be returned to the office by December 16 so that Kids and Families in Need can get the gifts out by December 18.
And the Mirror-Reporter and Cookies etc. have teamed up again for the kids’ Coloring Contest!
Inside this edition of the newspaper (page 7), is a coloring page for kids ages three to 10-years to cut out and color.
Bring the creation back to the office by 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9 for the chance to take home a holiday cookie from Cookies Etc.
Two winners will be awarded in two age categories (three to six-years and seven to 10-years). The winners from each category will be featured in December 19 edition of the Mirror-Reporter.
Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Stop in and join in our holiday spirit!
