Slates set for Clear Lake and Ventura School Board elections
The slate has been set for the upcoming School Board election. In Clear Lake, there will be a race among three candidates for two seats on the Board. In Ventura, one incumbent and one newcomer are on the ballot for two seats.
In Clear Lake, incumbents Mark Tesar and Sandy Christ are seeking re-election. They are being challenged by Chyrl Bergvig, a retired educator.
In Ventura, long time board member Larry Costello is seeking re-election, along with Allison M. Linahon.
The School Board election will be held Tuesday, Sept. 10. Board members are elected to serve four-year terms, with elections taking place in odd-numbered years.
Questionnaires completed by School Board candidates will be published in upcoming editions of the Mirror-Reporter.
