Shared superintendent contract moves toward renewal
The Clear Lake School Board is expected to second the actions of their counterparts in Mason City next week and renew a 28E agreement which provides for the sharing of Schools Superintendent Anita Micich.
Monday the Mason City Board voted unanimously to continue the sharing agreement which began last year.
Under the terms of her contract with Mason City for the 2011-2012 school year, Micich will earn a salary of $177,500. She will be paid $156,500 by Mason City, of which 40 percent will be reimbursed by Clear Lake. The remainder of the $177,500 salary will come from state incentive funding received by both school districts for sharing services.
