School district signs on with energy service

The Clear Lake School Board voted to sign an agreement with U.S. Energy Services, Inc., in an effort to save an estimated $6,000 yearly in energy costs.

Superintendent Anita Micich and School Board member Chad Kuhlers encouraged the board to take a look at a proposal

from U.S. Energy Services.  The company is an energy manager which creates competition between energy suppliers to provide the lowest possible price for their customers.  Micich said the Mason City School District and NIACC use U.S. Energy Services and have been pleased with the result.  Kuhlers also has experience with them through his employer, Golden Grain Energy.
