School Board accepts resignation from transportation director
The Clear Lake School Board accepted the resignations of its supervisor for building and grounds, as well as its high school art teacher, during a short business meeting and workshop Monday evening.
Building & Grounds/Transportation Director Kelly McLaughlin, who was placed on a paid administrative leave of
absence in June, submitted his resignation to the Board. At that time, Superintendent Anita Micich said the leave was not disciplinary in nature. Micich had no further comment Monday regarding the resignation.
Tyler Purdy, CLHS art instructor, also submitted his resignation. Purdy is expected to start the school year until a replacement can be found.
In other business Monday, the Board approved a requested leave of absence for eighth grade math teacher Sara Abbas and approved the hiring of Rosemarie Borseth as a middle school science/language arts teacher on a 1.0 full-time equivalent basis.
