Ruth Tapps

 Ruth Madonna (Tucker) Tapps peacefully departed this earth April 28, 2012 at her home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
    Ruth was born Sept 4, 1920 to John and Clara Tucker. She was a graduate of Lyons High School, Lyons, Iowa, class of 1938. She worked as a supervisor with the Bell Telephone Company in Mason City, Iowa for 18 years. She later worked for EFJohnson in Clear Lake. Ruth was married to Albert E. Tapps in Clear Lake in April 1953. They

celebrated 59 years of marriage prior to her death.
    Although they enjoyed their home on the lake at Tanglefoot, they loved to travel. They spent many years traveling throughout the United States, especially enjoying the Southwest.
    They settled in Rio Rancho, N.M. in the mid 80’s.
    Surviving her are her husband; sons, Lauren (Linda Collen) and Douglas; granddaughters, Kristina (Gilbert) Armijo and Summer (David) Hunter. She was great-grandma to Aaron, Anthony, Abigayle, and Andrew Armijo, and Monique, Dominique, Shyla, and Ana Hunter.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen Petersen; and brother, John Tucker.
