Results of Earth Days 5K and 10K runs

One hundred sixty-nine runners took part in the annual Earth Days 5K and 10K runs in Clear Lake Saturday, April 13.  

Ryan Smith, 36, of Clear Lake, was the overall winner of the 5K in a 

time of 18:17.  Michelle Deverell, 50, of Mason City, was the top female finisher, crossing the finish line in 22:34.

Thirty-six-year-old Jason Enke, of Clear Lake, was the overall winner of the 10K race in a time of 37:52.  Kalyn Kruckenberg, 22, of Mason City, was the first female finisher in the 10K race.  She was clocked in 42:48.
