Days of activities throughout Clear Lake heighten awareness of our environment

Eighth grader Alanna Monson shared her studies of the lake ecosystem with those attending the Green Expo at the Surf Ballroom. Teacher Val Southgate gave her Oceanography class an assignment to come up 

with a problem they wanted to investigate about water in our community. Monson wanted to find out  how fertilizer ends up in Clear Lake and what affects it has on the lake ecosystem. Monson is pictured sharing her findings with Deb Tesar.
