Private Clear Lake preschool considers expanding to PK-3
Clear Lake Classical, established in 2014 as a non-profit organization offering a private, Christian preschool in Clear Lake, is looking to expand to offer kindergarten, first and second grade in the 2015-16 school year.
An information meeting to discuss the proposed expansion will be held Friday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church, 1310 U.S. Highway 18 West, Clear Lake.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting to hear about a day in the life of Clear Lake Classical; see pre-kindergarten students in action; see a sample curriculum and learn more about the Classical method. Headmaster Dr. Cory Gerdts and Board of Directors members Pastor Brian Lund, Gabriel Haugland and Greg Nicholas will also be available to meet with parents.
Clear Lake Classical Preschool currently operates at 805 10th Ave. North, Clear Lake. Its leaders explain that education at Clear Lake Classical is intended to be inherently different in philosophy and content than that offered in the public schools.
