Police travel to Minnesota to make assault arrest

A Vadnais Heights, Minn. man is being held on $1 million bond following his arrest for First Degree Kidnapping.  

Officers from the Clear Lake Police Department traveled to Minnesota Thursday, April 24, to arrest Albert Mesenbrink III.  The 

arrest followed an investigation of an assault which occurred April 20 involving a Clear Lake woman. The woman received injuries as a result of the incident, according to a statement issued by the CLPD.

Numerous search warrants were issued and with the assistance of the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Departent, along with the Iowa Criminal Investigation, Mesenbrink, 62, was charged. 

He is currently being held in Minnesota.
