Nora J. Schulte
Nora Josephine Jane Schulte, age 96, formerly of Clear Lake, passed away of natural causes, surrounded by her loving family on July 30, 3023, at Deerfield Senior Living in Richmond, Wis. She was known to her loved ones as “Jane”.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 26, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave. North, Clear Lake, with Lay Minister Al Berge officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
The Lord reached out his hand to welcome Jane Schulte home to be at rest and be reunited with her best friend and husband, Wilke Schulte. Along with other family members.
Jane was born Oct. 8, 1927, in the Township of Grand Meadow Minnesota to parents Carl Westberg and Sigrid Folden. She was later educated in Rockwell City, Iowa.
Jane Folden married Wilke Schulte on Jan. 3, 1954, in Clear Lake at Zion Lutheran Church. Jane was a homemaker and worked summers at The Ritz in Clear Lake.
Jane and Wilke loved to spend time together bowling, gardening, and fishing. Jane also loved playing cards with her family. Especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jane was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Minnesota Gophers, and the Vikings.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilke; and several other family members.
She is survived by her two devoted twin daughters, Debra (Jack) Anhorn, of Waterloo and Diane (Terry) Beckman, of St. Paul, Minn.; a son, Doug (Dora) Schulte, of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren, Brian (Chandra) Anhorn, of Waterloo, Lindsey (Dana) Pearson, of Minnesota, Brent, and Bradley Anhorn, of Waterloo; Jennifer (Charlie) DeMars, of Wisconsin, and Gina Schulte, of San Diego; along with several great-grandchildren and other family members.
Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
