NCC Track Meet proves to be a tough outing for CL boys

    The Clear Lake boys track team was primed to make a strong showing at the North Central Conference track meet Monday, May 7.  But with the exception of a few personal bests, the Lions fell short of continuing to better their performances and ended up 10th in the 10-team field.

    “Conference was rough,” said Coach AJ Feuerbach.  “We were looking good at Garner and Jim Ahrens with many personal bests on the year.  Conference was a struggle as we have one of the toughest track conferences in the state.”
    The Lions were also without the services of their leading hurdler, Connor Nosbisch, who was out with an injury.
    The coach noted a highlight of conference meet was freshman Chandler Diercks finishing second in the long jump with a leap of  20’ 7”.  Zak Bendickson also recorded a career best in the high jump with a leap of 5’10”. The effort placed him eighth overall.  Jordan Mitchell placed eighth in the shot put with a personal best - Read More Via e-Edition
